Klang is one of the oldest towns in Selangor and one of the fastest growing. Old shophouses and long-established housing estates sit alongside big newer townships like Bandar Botanic and Bukit Tinggi, plus the warehouses and factories around Port Klang and Kapar. Termites find a way into all of them.
Found termites? WhatsApp us a photo and your taman or township. We'll arrange a free inspection in Klang and give you a quotation once we have seen what is going on.
Why termites are common in Klang homes
Much of Klang is low-lying, flat land, and parts of it were plantation or swampy ground before development. Subterranean termites thrive in moist soil, so the conditions suit them well. When we inspect homes here, the most common entry points are cracks in the ground-floor slab, gaps around plumbing in kitchens and bathrooms, and the joint where an extension meets the original house.
In newer townships such as Bandar Botanic and Bukit Tinggi, many homes are well under twenty years old, and owners are often surprised to find termites in kitchen cabinets, wardrobes or wooden flooring. The colonies were in the ground before the houses were built.
Older terraces and shophouses around the town centre, Taman Sentosa and Meru tend to have timber roof structures, door frames and staircases that termites have had decades to reach.

Signs of termites in Klang homes
Termites work out of sight, so most homeowners only notice them once there is damage. These are the signs our technicians look for first during an inspection.
1
Mud tubes on walls
Pencil-width tunnels of soil on walls, floors, pillars or foundations. Termites build them to stay moist while they travel between the soil and your house.
2
Tunnels under tiles and timber
Lift a loose floor tile or move timber that touches the ground and you may find soil trails or galleries underneath. Subterranean termites live and travel underground.
3
Holes in garden trees
Termites hollow out tree trunks, stumps and roots. Small holes or soil-filled cracks in a trunk usually mean a colony is close to the house.
4
Soil packed into cracks
Soil pressed into cracks, joints or gaps around door and window frames. Termites seal openings this way to keep out light and dry air.
5
Hollow-sounding wood
Tap door frames, skirting boards and cabinets. Wood that sounds papery or gives under a screwdriver is often eaten from the inside. You may also hear faint clicking in walls.
6
Frass (termite droppings)
Tiny pellets that look like sawdust or coffee grounds, often under furniture or door frames. This points to drywood termites inside the timber.
7
Discarded wings
Small wings of equal size near windows, lights or door sills. Flying termites (alates, or kelkatu) shed them after swarming, usually at dusk after rain.
Spraying kills the termites you can see. Sentricon® goes after the whole colony, including the queen, so the problem doesn't come back from the same nest.
1
Free inspection
We find where termites are active, how they are getting in and what has been damaged, then give you a quotation. No obligation.
2
Bait stations go in
Sentricon® stations are placed in the soil around the building, plus above-ground stations on active spots indoors where needed. There is no flooding of the soil with liquid termiticide.
3
Termites carry the bait home
Worker termites feed on the bait and share it through the colony. The active ingredient stops termites from moulting, so the colony gradually dies off, queen included.
4
Monitor and protect
We check the stations, top up bait as needed and confirm when activity stops. The stations stay in place to catch any new colony that comes looking for food.
Termite control for warehouses and factories around Port Klang
We treat termites in warehouses, logistics facilities and factories around Klang, Port Klang and Kapar, where pallets, cartons and timber packaging are an easy food source.
Logistics and storage buildings often find termite damage only when stock is moved: a pallet that crumbles, a carton that is full of soil. For these sites we place Sentricon® in-ground stations around the building perimeter, add above-ground stations where termites are active, and monitor on a schedule that works around your operations.
If you also need help with rats or cockroaches in loading bays, canteens or offices, see our pest control services.
Older shophouses in Klang town often share walls and roof spaces with their neighbours. When one unit has termites, the colony may be feeding on several, so we look beyond the unit that called us.
